General Use & Air Pruning

Air root pruning refers to the pruning effect that air has on roots when they become exposed to it. This promotes lateral root development, improving water and nutrient absorption for higher yields. Instead of roots circling around the container wall, they are naturally pruned when they reach the open air, which stimulates new lateral branching and creates a dense, fibrous root system.

Unless you are using a fine mix, it won't! Just make sure not to leave any big gaps when you're potting.

Yes, but RediRoot containers develop a dense structure of water-loving lateral roots that use water more efficiently. Our cultivation specialists are available to help you optimize your watering schedule — reach out anytime.

Circling roots strangle your plants and trees over time and reduce fibrous root growth needed for nutrient absorption. Roots in traditional solid containers continuously circle, becoming bound and unable to support healthy growth after transplant.

Plants grown in RediRoot avoid transplant shock because roots are already pruned through air pruning rather than being stressed during extraction. The fibrous root system is ready to establish in new soil immediately.

RediRoot is manufactured by NurserySource, made at our production facilities in China. Containers are made from 80% recycled materials.

YES! RediRoot is made to withstand multiple seasons of growth in a commercial environment. Some of our containers have been in use for over nine years!
